After a few years under development and implementation the ISEAL Core Metadata set is now ready for broad implementation in the sustainability community. I therefore invited Michael Marus, FSC Chief Information Officer and Director of IT, and Patrick Mallet, ISEAL Director of Innovations, back on the podcast to give us an update. Why is it so important that we standardize our metadata and what do we stand to gain as individual organizations and as a sustainability community? In this episode we get hands on in how to start an implementation process and what the benefit could be. If you are interested in learning more about the ISEAL Core Metadata set and the project behind it, episode 18 is the first episode on the project and gives insight into the background and work behind it. The ISEAL Core Metadata Set was funded by ISEAL Innovations Fund, which is supported by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO (https://www.seco-cooperation.admin.ch/secocoop/en/home.html)en
