Abstract
This Advice Note sets out interim requirements for enhanced management of High Conservation Value 2 (HCV 2) areas and monitoring of Intact Forest Landscapes (IFLs) in Brazil, Canada, Peru, and the Republic of the Congo. This advice note represents an initial implementation of Motion 45/2025, which moves FSC’s approach to IFLs toward outcome-based conservation focusing on maintaining ecological integrity and socio-cultural values. V1-1 presents a revised scope, clarifying when the Advice Note applies in correspondence to new revised IFL indicators in the FSS.
