Abstract
Summary
Description
The COVID-19 pandemic put a halt to a lot of things moving around the globe – both humans and natural resources. How does a certification scheme like FSC respond to this kind of disruption? A scheme where being able to travel to audit site or have certified goods supplies is central to being able to function. FSC has had to put a series of emergency rules – or derogations as they are named – into place to make sure businesses working with FSC weren’t put to a halt unjustified. In this episode, I dive into these derogations along with our Chief Policy Officer Hans Joachim Droste and learn more what they contain, how they were informed and created and what we have learned from the disruption already.
