Description
FSC General assembly edition: In this episode we focus on how forest-based solutions like carbon storage and biodiversity protection can be one of our actions to mitigate climate change. But for it to make an impact, it needs to scale, and it needs to scale fast! To educate me on how climate investments work from forest to market I have invited a panelist of players from the entire value chain. Juan Anzieta from Arauco representing a forest owner, Juan Carlos Gonzalez Aybar from the Shared Wood Company representing the investors and Rhyannon Galea from Southpole representing the project developers. We also have Pina Gervassi from FSC International, who links all of this to the work that FSC is doing and explains how FSC hopes to be an enabler for impactful and verifiable climate investments in the future. The episode is the first in a series of three episodes, where we zoom in on the topics to be discussed and found solutions for at the upcoming FSC general assembly in Bali, Indonesia October 9th – 14th. The episodes are bought to you by the main sponsors of the FSC General Assembly SIG and Arauco.
